Arianrhod

For my Experimental Film class at UCLA, our cohort was tasked with self-producing a 1-3 minute experimental short film to present for the class. While my previous work has been meticulously planned and aided by leaning into the lack of production value for comedy, I wanted to try something new here.

I employed a guerilla filmmaking style with little planning and worked with compositing green screen elements myself for the first time. Diverting from my usual style, I also aimed for a spookier, more serious tone to push my directorial sensibilities further. Additionally, I took a note from Carpenter's book to write and perform the score myself. The culmination of those efforts, Arianrhod, based off the Celtic goddess of the Moon, Stars, and Cycles, is one of the most unique films I have made so far. I look forward to publishing it on this site soon!
